If you're playing any lot for the first time after installing Seasons, the first season is the top-left one. Click it, and you'll see what seasons are on the list and in what order. There will be a button in the top-left corner of the neighborhood screen that has a flower on it. To set up your seasons, go into the area you want to change. We'll talk about it in the next sub-section. There is a possibly negative side effect for doing this, however.
SIMS 2 SEASONS SERIES
If I wanted to, I could set Pyroville (my neighborhood), Blue Water Village (from Open For Business), and all three of my colleges to completely different seasons. First released in 2000, The Sims is a series of life simulation sandbox games developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. This is especially useful for the La Fiesta Tech college, if you have University installed.Įach neighborhood and external area has its own season list. The Sims 2 Seasons is an Expansion Pack and requires The Sims 2. Or, if you have a neighborhood in the desert, you can make all four seasons summer (essentially and eternal summer). The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection Main game and all expansions are updated to latest versions. Each season lasts around five sim days and brings with it new challenges and gameplay options. The Sims 2: Seasons enhances gameplay by adding seasons and weather mechanics.
SIMS 2 SEASONS MAC OS X
Aspyr released a Mac OS X port of the game in June 2007. It was developed at the Redwood Shores studio of Maxis and was released on Main North America, and was followed by the European release on March 2, 2007. Summer may not be very useful, so you can just make a series of spring and winter seasons. The Sims 2: Seasons is the fifth expansion pack for The Sims 2.

Say you make a neighborhood, and your story is that it's an Alaskan or Canadian one. Or, you can make multiple choices: spring, summer, spring, winter.Īnother excellent use for this is for role-playing purposes. You could change that backwards, to spring, winter, fall, summer. For example, the game defaults to the temperate order of summer, fall, winter, spring. You still have the usual four to draw from, but their order is up to you, so long as you have four total. XĮA has wisely given you the option to set up your own seasons, in an order of your choosing. First up is, as always, the basics of the additions. Fact is, you'll gain quite a few benefits merely by playing normally we'll get into that in a moment. The effects of seasons are great in number, even if they're rather subtle in execution.
